Since this world was created humans was living simple life as most of the animals are living in wild life today. But with the passage of time man tried hard and realized the gifts of nature that is raw materials all around him. The first ever source of light other than sunlight discovered was that of fire. That too was lit upon by striking two stones. Then he keep on discovering several other things and then at last Edison was the scientist who became successful in inventing first ever bulb. Then different type of light sources came down in the field of science as a research and modification of the bulb which Edison invented. The bulb which Edison invented was based on filament but later in 1907 a britisher H J Rounds came up with new technique instead of filament as bulb components .H J Rounds introduced another component that was light emitting diode commonly referred as LED in the present world. He used a technique called as electro luminance. A technique in which one  material after absorbing light ,re-emits  that light thus producing better light without producing much heat which an ordinary bulb based on filament do produce. Then came the turn of a Russian Oleg Vladimirovich  Losev who on his own claimed invention of light emitting diode (LED) in 1927 twenty years after britisher H J Rounds invented light emitting diodes (LEDs).But despite of its invention in early twentieth century its practical use was first introduced in 1962 and the man behind that practical use of light emitting diode (LED) was Nick holonyak junior.

Light emitting diode (LED) is being used in so many utensils and other house hold things. Whether its idea about renovating or decorating first thing came in mind of decorator is the use of lights. And to further add the beauty in that light emitting diode (LED) is being used. In the market light emitting diode (LED) bulbs are available indifferent colors for creating different effects. Mainly red, green and blue light emitting diodes (LEDs) bulbs are being used for creating different color moods.

Red light is being used by photographers once they do photography at night as red light is good in preserving shadows. The red light emitting diode (LEDs) bulbs has been added to flashlights for night vision enhancements. Green light emitting diode (LED) is commonly used by hunters and it is also one color which can be used in smoke filled environments. Blue light emitting diodes (LEDs)are normally used in torches and other hand held/portable light producing devices and is helpful in reading maps and charts and one requires to avoid detection. Blue light emitting diodes (LED) are also very helpful in detecting blood traces and other bodily fluids and are used in crime scenes mostly for the same purpose. Hunters along with using green light emitting diodes (LEDs) for hunting also uses blue light emitting diodes (LEDs) and with this they trace and reach out to injured animals merely by the quality of blue light emitting diodes (LEDs) to high light blood and other bodily fluids.
